Dr. Pauline Joyce is a Senior Lecturer and Director of Quality & Clinical Engagement for the MSc Physician Associate Studies programme at RCSI School of Medicine. She pioneered Ireland's first PA role through a Beaumont Hospital/Department of Health pilot, establishing curriculum frameworks and accreditation pathways. Her research spans medical education, healthcare quality, and PA role integration, with publications on virtual assessments, curriculum design, and patient satisfaction.
Grants include studies on interprofessional teams and PA employment factors. She holds an EdD in Education and Leadership from Dublin City University and has held academic positions since 2000, including Director of Academic Affairs at RCSI Institute of Leadership.
