Paula Schenck serves as Director of Indoor Environments and Health Programs and a Clinical Instructor in Community Medicine and Health Care at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Her expertise spans climate change and public health, green building standards, and environmental health problem-solving. She actively contributes to initiatives addressing asthma and indoor air quality through academic and community programs.
She teaches in the MPH program and the School of Medicine, focusing on environmental health and air quality. Professional engagements include roles on Connecticut’s Asthma Planning Task Force and the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering Committee on Indoor Air Quality in Schools. She participates in the EPA’s National Tools for Schools Symposium as faculty.
Her current work includes the CIRCA project on Coastal Green Infrastructure Resilience Planning, advancing resiliency strategies through dredge material utilization in coastal regions. Paula also consults on regulatory compliance, environmental health tracking, and school district environmental challenges.
