Paula Rossi, PhD, serves as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Professor of Nordic Philology at the University of Oulu, a position she has held since August 2013. She is formally affiliated with the Department of Languages and Literature within the Faculty of Humanities.
Her research focuses on Translation Studies and Historical Sociolinguistics, with dedicated expertise in Historical Multilingualism and Historical Multiculturalism. She oversees the Nordic Philology curriculum and teaches core courses including Language History.
