Paula Nieman, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Residence at the University of Connecticut's School of Social Work, where she also serves as the BSW Program Director. Her work focuses on advancing social work education and practice through curriculum development and leadership in the Bachelor of Social Work program.
Dr. Nieman's research interests span clinical social work, community practice, social policy, mental health services, child and family welfare, and trauma-informed approaches. These areas reflect her commitment to addressing systemic challenges in social work and improving outcomes for vulnerable populations.
