Paula Murray Cole is Professor of Acting, Voice, and Movement in the Department of Theatre and Dance Performance at Ithaca College's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. She is an internationally recognized expert in actor training methodologies with a specialization in Rasaboxes and Alexander Technique.

Professor Cole's research centers on the development and dissemination of Rasaboxes, a suite of exercises based on performance theories, practices, and contemporary emotion science that trains emotional awareness and expressivity through breath, body, voice, and sensation. She is a certified Alexander Technique teacher with Alexander Technique International (ATI), having earned her diploma from The Philadelphia School for the Alexander Technique (2016-2022). Her research explores the intersection of emotional science and performance practice, with ongoing investigations into comparative studies of emotional and psychophysical techniques in actor training.
Professor Cole's publications and presentations demonstrate significant contributions to performance theory, particularly through her work on Rasaboxes methodology.
