Paul Wilson is a Lecturer in Accountancy and Finance at the Queen Margaret University Business School, having joined after commencing his academic career at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) in 2022. At GCU, he served as Transnational Education (TNE) lead, teaching at Chinese institutions including Jinan University and Shandong Institute of Commerce and Technology.
His research centers on Risk Management with specific focus on Food Access, Management Control Systems, SMEs, and Social Justice. He is currently pursuing a PhD investigating risks and opportunities of footbridges linking food systems across socioeconomic communities, with Food and Nutrition Security at its core. His methodology employs qualitative diaries and semi-structured interviews.

Wilson teaches Accounting, Organisations and Society; Fundamentals of Risk; Ethics, Corporate Governance and Responsible Leadership; and Advanced Management Accounting. His pedagogy emphasizes critical thinking and real-world application, with contributions to module redesign and development. He secured a PhD studentship within GCU's Department of Finance, Accounting, and Risk to advance academic research.
