معرفی
Paul Wen is a Professor at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, affiliated with the School of Engineering. He holds dual PhDs in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Huazhong University of Science and Technology) and Biomedical Engineering (Flinders University). His research focuses on control systems, biomedical engineering, signal processing, brain modeling, pattern recognition, and machine learning. He has extensive expertise in intelligent control systems, EEG-based diagnostics, and neuromodulation technologies.
Dr. Wen has supervised numerous PhD and Master’s students, with current and completed research projects including real-time epilepsy seizure detection, depth of anesthesia assessment, and sleep stage classification using advanced signal processing and deep learning techniques. He has also contributed to numerical simulations of brain networks and transcranial focused ultrasound stimulation effects.
His work spans interdisciplinary applications in healthcare technology, including EEG-based mental health monitoring, schizophrenia detection, and alcoholism identification. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, with a focus on computational neuroscience and biomedical signal analysis. Professional memberships include IEEE and the Chinese Medical Engineering Society.
