Paul Thomas

Paul Thomas is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Bergen's Department of Physics and Technology and NORCE Center under the SEAS (Shaping European Research Leaders for Marine Sustainability) programme. His research focuses on developing sustainable nanomaterial-based solutions for marine and environmental challenges, particularly in corrosion prevention and biofouling control.

His research spans Energy and Environment, Nanocoating, Biofouling, Electrochemistry, Energy Storage, Water Treatment, Photocatalysis, Sonocatalysis, and Nano-scale Fabrication. He specializes in nano-metal oxide coatings that prevent biofouling and corrosion without harming marine ecosystems, utilizing green synthesis methods and biomass-derived materials for environmental remediation and energy applications.

His publication record from 2019-2025 reveals a dominant focus on nanomaterial applications for textile dye removal and energy storage, with consistent themes in sustainable synthesis, magnetic nanoparticles, and biomass utilization.
