Research focuses on cognitive neuroscience in aging populations, particularly the interplay between hearing loss, dementia risk, and technological interventions. Key areas include developing low-intensity interventions to reduce dementia risk, screening tools for cognitive assessment (e.g., Leaf Café VR environment), and understanding pandemic impacts on older adults' mental health.
His work bridges clinical practice and academic research, evidenced by projects like Connected couples, connected minds (2020) and Capturing and Measuring Cognition in the Wild (2019). Recent publications highlight novel approaches to dementia prevention, hearing impairment consequences, and technology adoption during lockdowns.
Recipient of prestigious awards including the EnCouRage Publication Award (2021) and Macquarie University Academic Excellence Award (2018).
