Paul Stevens

Paul Stevens is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Graphic Arts at the Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton, specializing in motion graphics. He combines academic expertise with substantial industry experience in television production.

His educational background includes:

• MA from the Royal College of Art (1993)
• PhD from the University of Southampton (awarded in 2020)

Stevens' research focuses on the convergence of digital technology and creative practice, particularly examining how artificial intelligence transforms creative industries. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications drawn from his professional background.

He is actively engaged in research initiatives including the "AI for the digital creative industries: scoping a DCI for Digital Souzhou" project, collaborating with Professor Seth Giddings to explore AI applications in creative sectors.
