Paul Santos is an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Briar Cliff University, part of the Academic Affairs division. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Bradley University, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). With nearly 30 years of professional experience, Santos has worked in accounting and operations management across Fortune 500 companies in the utility industry, government, and non-profit sectors. His expertise includes utility asset management, financial leadership, and infrastructure development.
His research interests align with his professional background, focusing on financial management practices in utility sectors, operational efficiency, and strategic leadership. Santos has managed multi-billion-dollar utility assets, provided expert testimony on depreciation methods, and contributed to power plant development projects.
Academically, he advises student organizations such as the Delta Epsilon Sigma Catholic Honor Society, Accounting & Finance Club, and Knights of Columbus at Briar Cliff. He has served as a faculty senator (2022-2024) on committees related to academic policies and assessment. Beyond academia, Santos is a trained Catechist for the Catholic Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program, a past library trustee, and an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
