Paul P. Price III

Paul P. Price III is an Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University's College of Agriculture, Department of Plant Pathology & Crop Physiology. He holds a B.S. in Agronomy and M.S. in Biology from Louisiana Tech University, and a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Louisiana State University.

Research focuses on disease management strategies for major crops including corn, cotton, grain sorghum, rice, soybean and wheat. Key areas include: fungicide efficacy evaluation, fungicide resistance detection and mitigation, emerging disease identification, remote sensing for disease detection, and cultivar resistance evaluation.

Currently leads multiple funded projects including USDA-supported initiatives on FHB-resistant wheat genotypes, Cotton Incorporated-funded research on CLRDV in Louisiana cotton, and soybean/grain disease management studies funded by the Louisiana Soybean and Grain Board.
