Paul Ostergaard is an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Architecture. His career focuses on urban revitalization, emphasizing mixed-income neighborhoods, transit-oriented districts, and collaborative city design. He has worked globally, including in North America, Europe, and the MENA region. He co-authored The Urban Design Handbook, Techniques and Working Methods, a key textbook on urban design practice.
Education: Graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.
Research Interests: Urban design principles, citizen-centric city planning, and place-based design strategies. He advocates for inclusive urban development through collaborative processes, as detailed in his writings on the urban design process.
