Paul Nitsch is the Carolyn G. McMahon Professor of Music and Macavity Artist-in-Residence at Queens University of Charlotte's College of Arts & Sciences, where he has taught since 1977. His career spans performance, artistic direction, and education, with leadership roles at institutions like Garth Newel Music Center, Fontana Concert Society, and the Swannanoa Chamber Music Festival (from which he retired as Executive Director). He co-founded the Bechtler Ensemble in collaboration with the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art.
