Paul Meredith is Professor of Materials Physics and Sêr Cymru National Research Chair at Swansea University, where he directs the £55M Centre for Integrative Semiconductor Materials. He holds an honorary professorship at University of Queensland. His education includes degrees from Swansea University and Heriot-Watt University, with postdoctoral work at Cambridge's Cavendish Laboratory.
Research focuses on sustainable advanced materials for solar energy, optoelectronics, and bioelectronics. Specific areas include organic/perovskite semiconductors, integrative semiconductor materials, photodetectors, and decarbonization of semiconductor manufacturing. His work bridges fundamental electro-optical physics with renewable energy policy and semiconductor industry innovation.
