Paul McNamara is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of New Hampshire's College of Liberal Arts. His research focuses on deontic logic, ethical theory, and the philosophy of moral language. He has authored/co-authored major works on deontic logic, including contributions to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy and the Handbook of Deontic Logic and Normative Systems. McNamara is also a fellow at the Institute of Philosophy, School of Advanced Studies, University of London, and oversees the Northern New England Philosophical Association. He serves on steering committees for the DEON and Formal Ethics conference series.
