Paul Maurice Conway

Paul Maurice Conway is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Copenhagen, affiliated with the Center for Healthy Aging Retirement and Transitions. He holds a Ph.D. in Occupational Medicine and Industrial Hygiene from the University of Milan (2006) and is a licensed psychologist.

His research focuses on Occupational Health Psychology (OHP), particularly workplace bullying, work-related stress, mental health at work, sickness presenteeism, and aging in the workplace. He leads two major projects: "Workplace bullying, mental health and risk of suicide" (27,000 Euro grant) and "Flexible retirement in Danish workplaces" (388,000 Euro grant under CEHA-III).

Recent publications analyze associations between workplace bullying and suicide risk (2023 Lancet Public Health), leadership behaviors and mental health outcomes (2024 Psychiatry Research), and longitudinal impacts of psychosocial conditions on depression (2023 International Archives of Occupational and Environmental Health). His work spans Germany and Denmark, with methods including register-based studies and diary investigations.
