Paul Martino

Paul Martino is a Professor of Biochemistry at Houghton University, emphasizing the integration of Christian faith with scientific education. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia and a B.S. from Shepherd University. His research focuses on gas-phase carbene labeling of proteins and Alzheimer’s disease mechanisms, utilizing mass spectrometry-based tools for structural biology. He has received the 2015 Mentoring Award from Carson-Newman University and secured grants totaling over $130,000 from the Bahner Foundation and NSF for studies on amyloid-beta peptides and structural biology techniques.
