Paul Marshall

Paul Marshall is a Research Professor in the Department of Political Science at Baylor University and holds the Jerry and Susie Wilson Chair in Religious Freedom at the Institute for Studies of Religion (ISR). He is affiliated with multiple institutions, including the Leimena Institute in Jakarta and previously served as a Visiting Professor at Sharif Hidayatullah Islamic University. His research focuses on religious freedom, Islam-Christian relations, and the dynamics of religious persecution globally.

Marshall has authored over 20 books on religious freedom and extremism, including landmark works like Persecuted: The Global Assault on Christians and Silenced: How Apostasy and Blasphemy Codes Are Choking Freedom Worldwide.
