Paul M Goldbart

Paul M. Goldbart is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's Department of Physics (Grainger College of Engineering) and currently serves as Executive Vice President and Provost of Stony Brook University. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Imperial College, University of London (1985). A renowned theoretical condensed matter physicist, his research focuses on random solids, mesoscopic systems, superconductivity/superfluidity, liquid crystals, and geometric phases. He has authored/co-authored influential works like Mathematics for Physics: A Guided Tour for Graduate Students (2009).
