Paul’s research centers on diversity in entrepreneurship, with a focus on migrant, minority, and LGBTIQ* entrepreneurs. He investigates how social, cultural, and geographical contexts shape entrepreneurial experiences, using qualitative methods to explore socio-spatial dynamics. His work bridges sociology, geography, urban anthropology, and entrepreneurship. Key themes include entrepreneurial ecosystems, internationalizing ventures, and entrepreneurial learning.
His recent publications reveal a strong thematic focus on intersectionality, gender, well-being, and digital transformation in entrepreneurship. Articles explore the lived experiences of expatriate entrepreneurs, the empowerment of Caribbean women through digital tools, and the contextual burdens faced by marginalized entrepreneurs. The research consistently emphasizes identity, resilience, inclusion, and policy relevance.
