Paul Knudson

Paul Knudson, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of In-Patient Diabetes Management Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). He holds leadership roles including co-Director of the Diabetes Care Center and Program Director for the Endocrinology Fellowship Program. His clinical focus is on diabetes management (Type 1/2) across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Education: Earned a Biochemistry degree from UC Davis, MD from MCW, and completed Internal Medicine residency/fellowship in Endocrinology at UC San Diego and MCW respectively.

Research emphasizes clinical informatics applied to diabetes care, including transforming clinical data into actionable insights. He advises biomedical informatics at the Clinical and Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin. Key projects include telemedicine diabetes education and device development for noninvasive monitoring.
