Paul Joseph Anderson

Paul Joseph Anderson is the K. Frank Austen Professor of Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on the dynamic regulation of mRNA through subcellular localization, stress granules, and processing bodies in human and mouse models. Key interests include RNA structure-function relationships, post-transcriptional gene regulation, and cytosolic RNA metabolism.

He investigates the interplay between mRNA translation/decay processes and cytoplasmic RNA granule dynamics, with particular attention to disease contexts like osteoporosis and viral infections. His work bridges molecular biology with clinical applications, including drug development and disease management.
