Paul Holley is a Professor and Director of the Center for Construction Innovation and Collaboration (CCIC) at the McWhorter School of Building Science, Auburn University. He holds a Ph.D. in Education and an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from Auburn University. His professional certifications include the Management Development Program (MDP) Certificate from Harvard University.
His research focuses on advancing construction technologies, academic-industry collaboration, and innovative educational practices. Notable areas include UAV applications in construction inspection, LiDAR-driven prefabrication, and curriculum development for interdisciplinary collaboration. He leads CCIC, which funds research addressing industry challenges such as sustainable construction and project delivery systems.
Recent publications emphasize technological advancements (e.g., UAVs, LiDAR) and international construction challenges like exchange rate risk management. Earlier work explored IT-based education tools and admissions policies in professional programs.
He oversees Auburn’s construction education programs, including undergraduate and graduate degrees and executive certificates. His initiatives include international conferences, study abroad programs, and competition teams that consistently achieve national and international recognition. The CCIC supports faculty research through grants, fostering innovation in construction products and methodologies.
