Paul Heath

Professor Paul Heath is Director of the Vaccine Institute at St George’s, University of London, with expertise in paediatric infectious diseases and perinatal infections. He coordinates the UK Paediatric Vaccine Group and neonIN neonatal infection network.

Research focuses on:

• Epidemiology of Group B Streptococcus
• Neonatal sepsis management
• Maternal vaccine strategies
• Antimicrobial resistance in neonates

His clinical trials investigate optimal vaccine schedules for preterm infants and novel therapeutics for neonatal infections. Professor Heath serves on NICE guideline committees and leads international collaborations on neonatal sepsis research across 30+ countries.
