Paul Friga is a Clinical Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He directs the consulting emphasis in the Undergraduate Business Program (UBP) and previously led the STAR program and Global Immersion Electives. His research focuses on strategy, problem-solving in consulting, and higher education transformation. He has authored influential books like The McKinsey Mind and The McKinsey Engagement, translated into 10 languages and used globally in business curricula. His teaching has earned prestigious awards, including the Chapman Family Award and multiple innovation-focused recognitions.
Education: PhD and MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma) from UNC Kenan-Flagler, and a double degree in Management and Accounting (magna cum laude) from Saint Francis University, with CPA and CMA certifications.
Research interests include strategy execution, consulting methodologies, and adaptive leadership in education. His recent work addresses strategic decision-making in crises, scenario planning for institutions, and the future of higher education under global disruptions.
Awards include the Chapman Family Award, Trustee Teaching Award, and Innovative Teaching Award. He consults for Fortune 100 companies, nonprofits, and military organizations, and advises boards for institutions like the Educational Foundation at UNC and Saint Francis University.
