Paul Finn is a Professor and Platform Leader for the Information and Systems Platform in the BA (Hons) Graphic Communication Design program at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. His career spans over 20 years in academic roles including Associate Lecturer, Visiting Lecturer, and leadership positions. He holds a BA (Honours) in Graphic Arts & Design from Leeds Beckett University and a PG Cert in Academic Practices in Art & Design from University of the Arts London, alongside HEA Fellowship.
Research interests focus on design education, typographic innovation, and knowledge exchange between industry and academia. Notable projects include the 'Acts Of Publishing' curriculum initiative emphasizing practical creative workflows and the exploration of publishing ethics in the digital age. His work integrates critical design thinking with hands-on production, addressing themes like data privacy (GDPR) and post-digital publishing.
Professional experience includes roles as Creative Director at Fitzroy & Finn and Graphic Designer at BBC Radio & Music Department. His creative output has been showcased in exhibitions such as Glasgow School of Art's Communication Design showcase and Grafik's Letterform Live event, where he presented on concrete poetry and letterform analysis.
