Dr. Paul Feuerstadt is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, affiliated with the Division of Digestive Diseases. He holds clinical appointments at Yale-New Haven Hospital and its St. Raphael campus, as well as Milford Hospital. His expertise lies in gastrointestinal and hepatic diseases, with a focus on chronic diarrheal syndromes, Clostridioides difficile infection (C. diff), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and ischemic gut disorders. Dr. Feuerstadt earned his BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania (2000, Summa Cum Laude) and MD from Weill Cornell Medical College (2004). He completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in gastroenterology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell and Montefiore Medical Center, respectively.
His research emphasizes clinical outcomes, epidemiology, and treatment strategies for gastrointestinal diseases, particularly C. diff. Dr. Feuerstadt is an active educator, delivering lectures regionally and nationally, and mentors fellows in the Division of Digestive Diseases.
