Paul Eden is an Associate Professor of Law at the School of Law, Politics and Sociology, University of Sussex. His research spans International Law, Commercial Law, and Legal Theory, with specialized focus on plurilingual treaty interpretation, apartheid criminalization, and international economic sanctions.

- Plurilingual Treaty Interpretation - Analyzing legal challenges in multilingual treaty enforcement
- Apartheid Criminalization - Defining legal boundaries through Rome Statute and customary law
- Statehood Recognition - Examining UN role and geopolitical factors
- Commercial Law - Focusing on equitable ownership and corporate transactions
- Counter-Terrorism Finance - Assessing international regulatory frameworks
Scientific Contributions: As co-editor of Economic Sanctions and International Law (Hart, 2016) and organizer of multiple Society of Legal Scholars conferences, he's shaped dialogues on sovereignty, terrorism financing, and treaty interpretation.
Awards: Received the Sussex Education Award (2023) for leading the Performing Arts Law Clinic, demonstrating commitment to practical legal education and student empowerment.
