Paul Dirk Bons

Professor Paul Dirk Bons is a faculty member at the University of Tübingen's Faculty of Geosciences, leading the Structural Geology working group. His research focuses on microstructural processes in geological materials and ice dynamics, with extensive DFG-funded project experience.

His primary research spans structural geology and rock deformation mechanisms, specializing in subgrain structure development in rocks/metals, numerical modeling of partial melt microstructures, and deformation-recrystallization processes in polar ice.
