Dr. Paul Cook is a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at King's College London, part of the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences. He holds a BA in Physics from the University of Oxford (1999), an MSc in Theoretical Physics from King's College London, and a PhD in Mathematics under Professor Peter West, focusing on the symmetries of M-theory. His research interests include M-theory, string theory, supergravity, and Kac-Moody algebras. He has been a Lecturer since 2008 and a Senior Teaching Fellow since 2017, teaching undergraduate courses like 'Calculus I' and 'Mathematics Education and Communication'. He co-founded The King's Factor, a club supporting A-Level mathematics students. His work spans over two decades, with notable contributions to gravitational coset models and E11 brane solutions. Paul has collaborated with institutions such as Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa and Università di Roma 'Tor Vergata' during his EU Superstrings fellowship (2006).
