معرفی
Paul Burkhardt is a PhD student at the Department of Hydrogeology, Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig, Germany. His research focuses on the dynamics of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) in headwater streams, including the influence of riparian soil moisture on DOC quantity and quality, and modeling DOC dynamics in the riparian zone. Prior to his PhD, he worked as a Project Engineer at Temann + Schöpe Beratende Ingenieure Partnerschaft mbB and holds a Master of Science (2017) and Bachelor of Science (2014) in Environmental Engineering from Bauhaus-University Weimar.
He is affiliated with the P-SPACE PhD college, part of the Helmholtz International Research School TRACER, which addresses eutrophication in riverine landscapes. His work contributes to understanding the interplay between hydrological processes, nutrient dynamics, and ecosystem resilience under climate change.
