Paul Austin Stacey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences and Business at Roskilde University, Denmark. He chairs the International Development Research Group (IDRG) and leads research on informality in governance, natural resource policies, and Sustainable Development Goals implementation. His work focuses on Africa, analyzing rural and urban political dynamics influenced by climate change, land laws, and resource extraction.
Education: PhD in Social Science from Roskilde University (2012).

- SWASH (2022-2025): Investigates wastewater infrastructure challenges in Ghana's Tema city.
- GOLD (2021-2024): Examines illegal gold mining's impact on Ghanaian politics and state formation.
- RARE (2018-2023): Analyzed Kenya's land laws and climate policies affecting pastoralists.
