Patti Parker

Dr. Patti Parker is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Graduate Nursing Program at the University of Texas at Arlington's College of Nursing and Health Innovation. She has been an educator since 1994, specializing in gerontology and advanced practice nursing. Her research focuses on interprofessional education, endocrine disorders in older adults, and pharmacological management. Dr. Parker holds a PhD in Gerontology from the University of North Texas and has numerous certifications, including Gerontological Advanced Practice Specialist and Adult Nurse Practitioner.

Education: PhD in Gerontology (2016), MSN (1991), BSN (1983). She has received prestigious awards such as the Distinguished Educator in Gerontological Nursing (2019) and the John A. Hartford Foundation recognition.

Research Interests: Geriatric pharmacology, skin diseases, metabolic bone disease, and movement disorders. She led a $2.25M grant (2019-2023) on accelerating adult gerontology healthcare. Recent presentations include topics like pharmacological updates and geriatric dermatology.
