Dr. Patrycja Brook is a Royal Society University Research Fellow in the Department of Chemistry at Durham University. Her research focuses on organic materials for advanced photonic and biomedical applications, particularly chiral systems exhibiting circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) and thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) for OLEDs.
Research Interests:
- Design of chiral BODIPY and borafluorene photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy
- Development of CPL-active lanthanide systems and organic probes for bioimaging
- Engineering efficient near-infrared OLED emitters
- Study of Dexter energy transfer mechanisms in hyperfluorescence systems
