Patrizia Sandri is a Full Professor at the University of Bologna's Department of Education Studies 'Giovanni Maria Bertin' since 2020. Her research focuses on special education, inclusive pedagogy, giftedness, and employability of vulnerable individuals. She holds a PhD in Experimental Pedagogy from Sapienza University of Rome and teaching qualifications for secondary and special education.
She coordinates national/international projects on school/work inclusion and directs CeDEI (Centre for Studies and Research on Disability, Education, and Inclusion). She is Director of the Specialisation Course for Support Teaching and chairs teacher training programs under Decree Law 75/2025.
Her institutional roles include membership in academic evaluation committees, editorial boards (e.g., L'integrazione scolastica e sociale), and leadership in organizations like SIPeS. She collaborates with universities in Almeria, Melbourne, and Brno.
