Patrique Fiedler

Dr. Patrique Fiedler is a junior professor and head of the Group for Data Analysis in the Life Sciences at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science. He holds a PhD in biomedical sensor and electrode technologies from TU Ilmenau (2017) and was awarded the TU Ilmenau Dissertation Prize in 2018. Prior to academia, he worked in industry roles spanning development, project management, and product management at a medical technology company. He also served as a guest researcher at the University of Porto (Portugal) and the University of Pescara-Chieti (Italy).

His research focuses on data fusion of multimodal datasets, body sensor networks, and real-time adaptive analysis methods for biosignals in electrophysiology/neuroscience. He explores novel sensor concepts and online-capable hardware-related data processing techniques.
