Patrik Vuilleumier

Patrik Vuilleumier is a Professor of Neuroscience at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva, and is affiliated with Campus Biotech. Since December 2021, he has served as Head of the Cognitive and Affective Neuroimaging Section at the Center for Biomedical Imaging (CIBM) MRI UNIGE.

His research centers on neural mechanisms of emotion processing and their interaction with cognitive functions like attention and memory, utilizing functional MRI and EEG methodologies. He specializes in behavioural neurology and neuropsychology, investigating both healthy populations and patients with neurological or psychiatric disorders through advanced neuroimaging techniques.

As leader of the Cognitive and Affective Neuroimaging Section, he directs research exploring brain circuits underlying emotional experiences and their cognitive implications within the CIBM framework.
