Damien Marie

Damien Marie is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and affiliated with the Geneva Musical Minds Laboratory (Haute école de santé de Genève). Since 2021, he has worked as a Research Staff Scientist and MRI Technician at the CIBM MRI UNIGE Cognitive and Affective Neuroimaging Section, focusing on brain imaging research related to aging, music, and language.

• Education: BSc in Biology, MSc in Neuroscience and Health Imaging (University of Caen Normandy), Ph.D. in Neuroscience (University of Bordeaux)

His research explores neural substrates of language, brain microstructural correlates of dyslexia, and music-driven cognitive plasticity in older adults and patients with mild cognitive impairment. He utilizes advanced MRI technologies (3-7 Tesla), psychometric testing, and large-scale statistical analysis.
