Patrick Wiseman is a Professor at Georgia State University College of Law, where he has taught since 1984. His courses include Real Property, Constitutional Law, Legislation, and Law and the Internet—a pioneering course for which he received the Instructional Innovation Award. He holds a B.A. from the University of Kent, a J.D. from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Colorado. Previously, he clerked for Judge Frank J. Battisti and served as a visiting professor at Santa Clara Law School.
Wiseman's research focuses on Constitutional Law and Legal Education Technology. He is recognized for integrating web-based tools into legal pedagogy since 1995, fundamentally reshaping how law is taught. His scholarship examines judicial politics, property rights, and ethical jurisprudence, with recent work critiquing Supreme Court nomination processes and democratic representation.
