Patrick Tormey is an Adjunct Professor in the Management & Marketing department at Manhattan College. With extensive industry experience, he specializes in fashion marketing and retail merchandising, having held executive merchandising roles at Sears Roebuck and Belk Stores. He founded a wholesale corporation for accessories and contributed to Fashion Manuscript Magazine as a contributing editor. He has taught marketing and fashion courses since 2001, joining Manhattan College in 2008.
Education: BBA in Marketing Management from Baruch College, M.B.A. in Marketing from Iona College. He is a U.S. Army veteran and father of two grown children and two grandchildren.
Research Interests: Focus on retail analytics, consumer behavior in fashion retail, and strategic merchandising tactics. His work explores topics like color psychology in retail, size-related consumer preferences, and the evolving role of direct-response marketing in fashion industries.
Awards: Recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award from LIM College, reflecting his dedication to pedagogical innovation in marketing education.
