Patrick Schaudy

Patrick Schaudy is a Senior Lecturer in Studio Photography and DTT Education at the Department of Fine Arts & Design, Mozarteum University. He has been affiliated with the university since 2002 and previously taught at the University of Salzburg (2006–2013). His roles include department head and lecturer, alongside workshop facilitation in camera construction and alternative photography.

Education: Studied at the Institute for Fine Arts, Art and Handicraft Education at Mozarteum University, earning qualifications in Handicraft and Fine Art Education. Completed a doctoral degree (Dr.phil.) in 2009 with distinction.

Research interests focus on artistic photography, product/fashion photography, furniture construction, and camera design, emphasizing the interplay between low-tech photographic methods and digital high-tech innovations. His work has been exhibited internationally, with travel and studio stays in Europe, Asia, Australia, and Central America.

Professional activities include workshops on camera construction and alternative photography techniques, reflecting his expertise in both traditional and modern photographic practices.
