Professor Patrick Kwan is a clinician-researcher and international authority in epileptology and antiepileptic drug development. He holds the position of Professor of Neurology in the Department of Neuroscience at Monash University's School of Translational Medicine and serves as Co-Director of the Monash Institute of Medical Engineering. Clinically, he is a Consultant Neurologist at Alfred Health, specializing in epilepsy. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences and previously chaired the Medical Therapies Commission of the International League Against Epilepsy (2013–2017).
