Patrick Gillett is a Lecturer (Teaching Scholar) in the Department of Management at Southern Cross University's Faculty of Business, Law and Arts. Since joining SCU in 2007, he has focused on organizational behaviour, assessment design, and the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching. He holds a PhD in Sport Management from SCU, a Master of Science in Sport Management from University of Massachusetts, and a Bachelor of Human Movement Science from SCU.

- Former MBA Program Director (2018-2021)
His research explores audio assessment feedback and Teaching Presence frameworks to enhance student satisfaction. As an educator, he emphasizes proactive student engagement with feedback and innovative assessment design. He was recognized with the Vice Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Teaching in 2022.
