Patrick Gianfaldoni is a Lecturer in Economic Sciences at Avignon Université, affiliated with the Laboratoire Biens, Normes, Contrats (LBNC). His research focuses on social entrepreneurship, incentive contracting, and the socio-economic dynamics of the social and solidarity economy (SSE). He explores topics such as neoliberal welfare state challenges, territorial polarization, and the integration of SSE with circular economy frameworks. Currently leading projects on alternative tourist accommodations and social impact evaluation in insertion through economic activity (IAE), Gianfaldoni emphasizes transdisciplinary approaches combining economics, sociology, and policy analysis.
Educational Background: His academic trajectory includes a doctoral thesis in industrial economics under Prof. Bernard Guilhon and foundational influences from Prof. Yves Schwartz’s work on multidisciplinary labor analysis. His teaching philosophy prioritizes creativity and freedom in knowledge exploration, advocating against monodisciplinary research confines.
Labs & Collaborations: Member of the LBNC, a multidisciplinary unit focusing on digital societies, work-employment dynamics, and voting/democracy studies. Key collaborations involve researchers like L. Manoury (co-author on territorial innovation and SSE projects) and L. Gardin (co-author on neoliberal welfare critiques).
