Professor Patrick Geoghegan is a leading historian at Trinity College Dublin's Department of History, specializing in British-Irish relations and constitutional history. He holds the academic rank of Professor in Modern History and has served in key administrative roles including Senior Lecturer/Dean of Undergraduate Studies (2011-2014). His research focuses on 18th-19th century political movements, oratory's role in political discourse, and legal/constitutional developments in Ireland.
Education: Gold medalist in oratory at the College Historical Society (pre-2001). Teaching: Award-winning educator with a focus on critical thinking and communication skills. He pioneered Trinity's Access Programme for underprivileged students and created the 'Ireland in Rebellion' YouTube lecture series.
