Patrick Eby is a Professor of Historical Theology and Wesley Studies at Wesley Seminary, Indiana Wesleyan University, where he also serves as Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program. His academic career spans over three decades with appointments at multiple theological institutions. Eby holds a Ph.D. from Drew University (2010), M.Phil. (2006), M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary (1993), and a B.S. from Marion College (1986).
His research focuses on Charles Wesley’s theology, Pietist traditions, Methodist history, and abolitionist thought. Notable works include The Heart of Charles Wesley’s Theology (2017) and co-authored How God Makes the World a Better Place (2012).
