Patrick Chamoiseau is a Belknap Long-Term Visiting Fellow in the Humanities Council and the Department of French and Italian at Princeton University. An internationally acclaimed poet, novelist, and essayist, his work explores creolization and relational poetics in contemporary contexts.
His literary contributions have earned prestigious awards including the Prix Goncourt, Prix Carbet de la Caraïbe, and Prix Marguerite Yourcenar. During his fellowship, he co-teaches a graduate seminar on Caribbean literature and culture.
