He previously served as a Research Associate at the Mathematics Didactics Group at the University of Osnabrück (2021–2024). He holds a Master of Education in Mathematics and Biology from the University of Bielefeld (2018–2020) and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (core subject) and Biology from the same institution (2014–2018).
- Education: B.Sc. and M.Ed. in Mathematics and Biology
- Current Role: Research Associate in Mathematics Education
- Key Research Interests: Digital tools, self-directed learning, geometry didactics
His research focuses on integrating digital mathematics tools into secondary school education, particularly through virtual-enactive approaches and self-directed learning frameworks. He explores applications of Dynamic Geometry Software (DGS) in differential calculus, flexible problem-solving with right-angled triangles, and contextualizing mathematics education within societal issues like the climate crisis. Publications from 2021–2024 highlight his work with MathCityMap in extracurricular settings and cooperative teaching strategies.
Recent articles address:
- DGS for periodic process simulations
- Interactive calculus instruction
- Cognitive flexibility in geometry
- Mathematics for climate empowerment
- Cooperative digital learning environments
