Patrick Beldio

Patrick Beldio is a scholar and teacher of comparative theology, currently serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Theology/Religious Studies Department at the University of Scranton. He is also a Research Fellow at the Georgetown University Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs. His academic work bridges Hinduism, Sufism, and Christian spirituality, with a focus on Integral Yoga and spiritual leadership.

• Education: Ph.D. from the Catholic University of America, Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from George Washington University.
• Research Focus: Contributions of Mirra Alfassa (The Mother) to the Integral Yoga tradition, post-1920 collaborative spiritual practices with Sri Aurobindo, and the intersection of art and theology.
• Publications: Author of The Mother of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram: Co-Creator of the Integral Yoga (2024), which examines Mirra Alfassa’s transformative role in shaping the Integral Yoga after Sri Aurobindo’s death.
• Artistic Work: Professional sacred sculptor with a studio at the Franciscan Monastery in Washington, DC; artwork in private and public collections across the U.S., Europe, and India.
